Course goal
The aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge and skills for ABB IRC 5 Control cabinet to changing components, operation of safety circuits, re-installing of the operating system and to have basic knowledge of manipulator mechanics.
Course objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will:
• Understand event messages
• Can independently search information from ABB Product manuals.
• Be able to check calibration and revolution counters
• Be able to calibrate manipulator with axis calibration method
• Be able to add and connect digital I/O:s to system
• Have basic knowledge of safety circuit connections
• Have basic knowledge about components inside control cabinet and can change faulty component
• Be able to update and install operating system ( RobotWare )
• Be able to create backup and restore backup
• Be familiar with basic 6-axis manipulator mechanics.
Student profile
For those who need basic information about ABB IRC5 control module and manipulator mechanics, e.g maintenance personnel.
Prerequisites-
- R102 Programming Basics completed or equivalent information
- Basic PC knowledge and a technical background are facilitating
- Professional in electrics or mechanics.
