General objectives

The goal of the course is for the participant to learn how to handle and configure a SafeMove2 system, as well as gain an understanding of safety and the requirements for SafeMove2 to be safe.

After completing the course, you will be able to do the following:

Create security users
Configure system parameters
Using secure I/O
Setting zones and intervals
Configure security features
Review ABB's security configuration report
Validate the configuration
Reinstalling RobotWare on a system using SafeMove
Back up your security configuration
Reset security configuration

Participant

The course is aimed at those who are about to start or are already working with installation and configuration of the safety module, SafeMove and functional safety options.

Prerequisites

Previous experience of using RobotStudio, and programming of robot systems is needed.

Course type

The course is teacher-led and can be carried out on site or virtually. About 50% of the course consists of exercises.

The course documentation is in English.

The course lasts for 3 days.
