A gentle introduction to the world of sound – for toddlers and their caregivers

Music is part of a child’s life from the very beginning – it supports development, creates connection, and stimulates the senses.
In our toddler music class at IMS Music School, we provide a safe and stimulating environment where children aged 13 to 30 months can explore music together with a parent or other trusted caregiver.

Our music education concept has been specially developed by experienced professionals for this important stage of development. It combines music, movement, language, and early social experiences in a natural, age-appropriate way.

What to expect in the course

Discovering music with all senses
Action songs, rhythm games, first instruments, dancing, and creative play – all tailored to the abilities and interests of young children. Music supports coordination, body awareness, and a love of movement.

Supporting language development through music
Songs, rhymes, and simple verbal games help children expand their vocabulary and communication skills in a playful, natural way. Through repetition and musical patterns, they begin to express themselves and understand more of the world around them.

Routines and structure
Familiar rituals such as welcome and goodbye songs, as well as predictable class routines, give children a sense of security and help them build trust in a group setting.

Gaining social experience
In the group, children begin to observe others, imitate actions, share instruments, and interact with peers. These early social experiences foster empathy, patience, and cooperation in a gentle and age-appropriate way.

A space for parent connection
The course also offers space for conversation and connection among parents. We share insights and ideas around topics like everyday life with a toddler, supporting development, and making music part of family life.

Ideas for home
You'll receive simple songs, rhymes, and movement games that are easy to bring into your daily routine – whether during playtime, diaper changes, or bedtime.
