PI Client Training [Remote]

Objective:

In this one-day practical seminar, participants will learn the basics of the PI System, including DataLink, PI Vision and approaches to the Asset Framework (AF).

Both the technical background to the structure of the system and in-depth knowledge of data flow and data handling will be introduced. After the seminar, participants will be able to graphically display process data in context as well as evaluate and calculate data in table format.

Methodology:

Our trainers, who also use the PI System themselves, start with an introductory theory unit on the underlying system and data flow. During the course of this training, the functions are demonstrated by the trainer and worked on by the participants using exercises. The participants create their own displays using our simulation to first familiarize themselves with the application and then develop an understanding of the configurations and functions. Use cases make it possible to experience the advantages and benefits of the many functions and possibilities in both PI Vision and the Excel AddIn PI DataLink. Practical exercises reinforce what has been learned.

Your benefit:

After this training, participants will understand the connections between production and the PI System in the data landscape and the types of data that can be worked with. They will learn how to use PI Vision and will be able to create and maintain displays. Participants will also be able to distinguish which PI DataLink function is used for which purpose.
