What's important?

Participants should be able to swim for 10 minutes without assistance. We will take breaks as needed, which in our experience is usually after 1.5-2 hours. Therefore, it's important that they bring enough healthy food and drinks. We have drinking water available at the dock for everyone to refill their bottles.

We always need an emergency contact person in case your child becomes unwell or if the group is significantly disrupted. In an emergency, we ask that you pick up your child, although in our experience this is very rare. A refund of the course fee is generally not possible; however, you can discuss this with us, and in the case of a medically necessary absence with confirmation, a voucher for the course in the following year may be available. We have relatively small groups, ensuring that each child receives individual and intensive support.

We consider ourselves responsible for your child and look forward to a wonderful time together. Teamwork is learned through fun and games. Since we are on the water, safety is of utmost importance to us.

It's the school holidays, meaning that young people are introduced to sailing in a playful way. Children vary greatly in size, weight, and mental and emotional development. We bring together different age groups and skill levels, with or without disabilities, and we consider this very important. Every child learns responsibility and independence with us, in solidarity with others. Conflicts may arise, but we all learn from them and grow. Would we be where we are today if we had never experienced resistance?

Please don't expect too much from your child. Instead, be happy when they come home tired and hungry, or when you pick them up.

When picking up your child, please make sure you are on time, or send us a message if you are going to be late. Younger children don't like waiting for long periods. If we know in advance, we can prepare them. We certainly won't let your child down, but teachers also need breaks to recharge and be ready to help the adults. We are a seasonal business.
