Spring Season ZIS. Impro Theatre Club. Grades 2 - 3

This club runs during the ZIS Spring Season from March to May.

Due to school holidays and no-club days, the course includes a total of 8 active lessons. One of these will take place as a double session on 22 May 2026.

In this club, students explore theatre through improvisation, movement, and creative play.

 

Instead of learning a fixed script, children create characters, scenes, and stories together in the moment. They practise listening, reacting, cooperating, and expressing ideas clearly on stage. The focus is on building confidence, imagination, and presence, not on memorising lines.

 

Through theatre games and guided improvisation, students develop:

 

• stage confidence

• teamwork and social awareness

• creative thinking

• expressive communication

 

The season will end with a final improvised performance for families on Friday, 29 May 2026, where the children present short scenes they have created together. After the performance, families are invited to stay for an informal get-together.

 

This format is especially suitable for children who enjoy being active, creative, and spontaneous, and for those who benefit from a playful, low-pressure way of performing.
